Pep Talk

Even superhero needs pep talk.

[from trailer] Aunt May: Uncle Ben wouldn't want us living with revenge in our hearts, it's like a poison. It can take you over and turn us into something ugly.

[from trailer] Peter Parker: I don't know what to do ...
Aunt May: I'm sure you'll find it within yourself to do the right thing.

Good Motivation gives Great Power. Great Power comes Great Responsibility.

I have never been a fan of superhero. I guess I am 'hard to please' kid.

I have always wondered, if Spiderman, Superman are hero that save many lives. Why must they disguise them?

Why must they show the 'weaker' side of themselves to blind the people surround them?

I don't understand. Are we not infusing wrong values to the young ones?

I believe the answer is "Self-Doubt".

If Spiderman saves the world and the world cheers for his good deeds, he would be contented.

If Spiderman fails in a rescue attempt, people will blame Spiderman and not Peter Parker, so he can spend 18 hours a day not really directly responsible for the bad consequences.

Regarding imparting wrong values to younger generation, I believe yes it is. So, it's up to parents about how to choose movies for their children and also telling them the values their family adhere to.

May be Superheroes need to step out of their comfort zone or attend AA class and say to themselves and the world: Hey, Good Afternoon everyone, I am the Spiderman, Peter Parker.

HaHa ...
