I love this joke that was sent to me in e-mail this morning.
Father: Why did you fail your mathematics test?
Son: On Monday, teacher said 3+5=8
Father: So?
Son: On Tuesday, she said 4+4=8 And on Wednesday, she said 6+2=8.
If she can't make up her mind, how do I know the right answer?

I think the boy has a lousy teacher :P not his problem. haha!
HaHa ... you know what? I had similar dilemma before. When I was in primary three, my teacher told us in the class 2 x 3 = 6, then 2 + 2 + 2 =6, then 3 x 2 = 6 and then ultimately 3 + 3 = 6. I looked at the multiplication table on the back cover of our $0.25 exercise book and frowned. My maths teacher asked me why, and I told her: "Teacher, can you tell us one definite answer. I can't learn when there are too many uncertainties". I was scolded for the first time by Ms Tay who happened to treat me as the most favourite student in her class. What a nolstagia!
Isn't it ironic that you are a maths expert now? Not only Maths double up with Economics, geez. You're smart, brillant and intelligent for sure :) Not a single doubt.
... I LOVE the compliments!
Believe it or not, I hate maths until recently. I guess it's my love for econometrics that has changed my perspectives on maths.
You deserve the compliments :)!
