Food Critics For A Day

On the way back from groceries shopping, my mother asked if we would like to have some lemang. We bought one stick each together with small container of beef rendang from separate vendors. How's our critics went? Everyone has different taste and taste is subjective, generally we prefer Lemang Temburong's lemang (rating scale: 3/5 stars) but we like Lemang Alif's beef rendang (rating scale: 3.5/5 stars)

Lemang is a traditional food which is cooked in a hollowed bamboo stick lined with banana leaf to prevent the rice from sticking to the bamboo. Used to be, it was usually prepared for festivities such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri, but in the past 5 years you can see them all year round at certain regular spots by the roadside. Lemang is made of glutinous rice and coconut milk, with salt added for taste, and it is commonly eaten with beef rendang.

Thanks Judy for your kind words! Yes, Nancy is too cute to neglect. I particularly like those in the last decade. I enjoy reading your blog too - the "Suddenly Senior" is a cool concept to me, and Donald Trump's hair - well, how could one forget and forgive it, haha!
