I was in Beijing last month, and the most amazing experience was seeing this frozen river! I heard from the hotel reception that some tourists literally "walked on thin ice" ie. they climbed down an embankment and walked out to the frozen river - to take photos!!! That's really err ... a creatively-thick idea, sorry for the pun haha!
